Chicago Metro AEYC Conference Workshop

Paul Roberts, Steve Allen & Desiree Kelley all attended the 2010 National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). At the conference the firm exhibited their work focusing on sustainable, healthy and child centered Architecture, Planning and Outdoor Playscape design.

Lennar Mare Island Landscape Historic Report

PR&P has been selected by Lennar Mare Island to prepare a series of Cultural Landscape reports for historic sites across Mare Island. PR&P as Prime Consultant is delighted to be working with Denise Bradley, a Certified Historic Landscape specialist on the project.

2010 Nature Action Forum

October, 2010

Paul Roberts recently attended the Nature Action Forum in Nebraska City, Nebraska at Arbor Day Farms as part of a California based team of educators and design professionals. The Forum was a gathering of more then 200 professionals from thirty-two countries around the globe meeting to discuss creating more opportunities for getting Children into Nature.

McIntyre Ranch Living Lab

May, 2010

PR&P Architects was selected by the Greater Vallejo Recreation District to design a Nature Center for their McIntyre Ranch property in Vallejo. The project will be prepared as a submission for a Prop 84 Nature Education Facilities (NEF) Grant application.

Columbia College CDC Grand Opening

May, 2010

The Columbia College Child Development and Family Services Center has just opened to great acclaim. The project, a collection of five buildings creating a Children’s Educational Village, is currently in the process of being certified as a LEED Gold project. PR&P provided Site Selection & Planning, Programming, Full Architectural Services and Outdoor Playscapes Design.

Paul Roberts, President of PR&P presented a seminar at the California Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC) 2010 Statewide Conference. The Workshop highlighted the results of a survey that PR&P prepared of recently completed Community College Child Development Centers across the State of California.

Suisun Library Grand Opening

PR&P Architects designed the new Community and Elementary School Joint-use Library, using a collaborative approach with the Library staff, the surrounding community, city officials and the school district. The design is based upon the clearly expressed desire from the community to create a building that fits well in the predominately residential neighborhood.
